Product Description
The Texas Instruments TUSB7320RKM is a USB 3.0-compliant xHCI host controller designed to add two downstream USB ports to a PCI Express system. It connects to the host through a PCIe x1 Gen 2 interface. Each downstream port supports SuperSpeed, high-speed, full-speed, and low-speed USB connections.
Each USB port can be independently enabled, disabled, powered, and monitored for overcurrent conditions. The device also provides adjustable transmit swing, de-emphasis, and equalization settings. These features help improve signal performance across different board layouts and system designs.
The TUSB7320RKM operates without external flash when using its default configuration. A serial EEPROM may be added when a customized configuration is required. Internal spread-spectrum generation and support for an external crystal or oscillator can simplify clock design.
The device is supplied in a 100-pin RKM WQFN-MR surface-mount package with an exposed thermal pad. Its commercial operating temperature range is 0°C to +70°C. The package is RoHS compliant and carries an MSL 3 rating for reflow processing.
